Today we talk about fresh model of WWII Soviet Medium Tank T-34-85 (ICM 35367) in 1/35 scale by ICM manufacturer. One year ago ICM was released a two models of T-34-76 tanks (ICM 35365 and ICM 35366). And today in my hands a box with new model of legendary T-34 tank.
Box-art is very nice and awesome. The box made from strong 1,5mm cardboard.
Kit kontains 5 green plastic sprues with 248 details, 6 vinyl details (tracks and tow-cables), 4 clear parts, decal sheet and assembly/painting guide. Plastic and clear details are very good quality, but rubber parts has small injection fringes.
The decal sheet has four options of markings:
- T-34/85, 7th Guards Tank Corps, Germany, Spring 1945
- T-34/85, 7th Guards Mechanised Corps, Germany, Spring 1945
- T-34/85, 4th Guard Tank Army, Germany, Spring 1945
- T-34/85, of an undesignated unit, from the Spring 1945
Assembly/painting guide is very clear and nice. No problems found.
Test-build process has gone wery well and give to me few nice hours. Assembly of details is very good… In final we have a very nice model of legendary WWII Soviet tank T-34-85.
One small hint for beginners: I glued vinyl tracks toghether with cyanacrylate Super-glue.
For beginners: best choice. You can build this tank just “from the box” with very well final result.
For professionals: I recommend to change vinyl tracks and tow-cables by more realistic ones. Of course, some photoetched details must give more realism to this model.
This is one more nice kit by ICM manufacturer.
