Review: Centaur (Master Box 24023)

Today we make a test-build of new fantasy figure of Centaur (Master Box 24023) in 1/24 scale. This figure is a part from the “Ancient Greek Myths Series”.

Short info about Centaurs (Wikipedia):

A centaur, or occasionally hippocentaur, is a mythological creature with the upper body of a human and the lower body and legs of a horse.

Though female centaurs, called centaurides or centauresses, are not mentioned in early Greek literature and art, they do appear occasionally in later antiquity. A Macedonian mosaic of the 4th century BC is one of the earliest examples of the centauress in art. Ovid also mentions a centauress named Hylonome who committed suicide when her husband Cyllarus was killed in the war with the Lapiths.

Box-art by V.Petelin is really amazing and very dynamic.

Box contains one sprue of gray plastic with 28 details for assembly of a Centaur Women. Details are clear and nice quality.

Test-build of this figure has gone with average difficulty level: i spent some time with hairs of Centaur. Few drops of plastic putty is needed to nice assembly.

In final we have a very dynamic figure with nice pose and with not bad detailing level. I recommend this figure for all modellers, who collect sci-fi figures in 1/24 scale.
